NPC voices making me sick to my stomach...
The enemy and ESPECIALLY the lootcatcher voices literally make me sick to my stomach. As in "i need to puke after only a few minutes of exposure" sick.

The enemy voices, especially when they die, sound like someone's torturing a cat. And the lootcatchers sound like human babies.

I had this problem with the lootcatchers before as well, after they added them.

Both sounds are deafeningly loud and make me physically ill. CHANGE THEM. PLEASE. Otherwise I can't play your game since it's making me sick to my real-world stomach.

Whoever gave me the jester, please know that I am not trolling. I wouldn't do so since it's a matter of my physical health.

You can adjust the volume for Rofleemo and Lootcatchers - There is a separate setting for them in Settings > Audio.

As for enemy sounds, there isn't a separate setting for them, but you can balance the SFX parameter, which includes their sounds.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We will consider adding a separate setting for soldiers as well, but only in the next content update.

I guess I'm uninstalling your game until the next update then, because the current one made me puke. Literally.

It's far more than an inconvenience, it's a public health and safety issue.

Bro :skull: There's something wrong with you, I think you shouldn't play games then.
And where on earth does this safety problem come from? The lootcatcher sound is literally cute, what are you talking about bro? Go to the doctor :skull:

Its everything but public lol. And if you hate these sounds just turn off the Volume of NPCs. There is an option for that. Why do you think they would add something like that? To look good? Think about it

the loot catchers sound far from Human Babies, i don't know how the hell you got that, and the human enemies dying is just radio sounds, another example of this is from HL2 where if you kill a combine unit, you get a similar sound.

and you have 7 hours on hl2 i think you would pick that up

They offered their game to the public audience. So it's a public health and safety issue.

Yes, think about it. What if merely turning the sounds down isn't enough to stop you from violently vomiting up your dinner? I should know - it happened to me!

Yeah, no. Bull. Radio sounds I get but not the sound of a bloody train wreck right in your ear.

I have seven hours on HL2, yes. But none of them are recent.

if a specific sound makes you sick then you should probably get checked out, you may just have Misophonia.

And i don't get what you meant with the train wreck in your ear thing, i played void train listened to both the loot sharks and the enemy death sounds and they sound fine, just radio static, glitching, slight voices sometimes, and it peaking at the end. i even did it on max vol, still seemed fine to me.

It is specifically the sounds of the Lootcatchers. They don't sound cute to me, they sound disgusting. And it's not Misophonia.

Fair enough. My advice, turn the vol down or off. listen to some music while playing, or a podcast. i just usually play games while listening to Smosh.

It's a you issue. Not a public issue. Just because something is "released to the public" doesn't mean, if only one reported person has an issue (you), that it's a public issue.

You sound like you need help. You should seek out professional aide for a type of misophonia as your response is not normal.

On the other hand, that you think the developers should change the sounds of their game just because you (and currently, only you) can't cope with them, just sounds like the most egregious self-entitlement. But for that, I'm not actually surprised.

Use volume sliders or slide out of this comment section altogether at the same time as uninstalling the game.

I've used the volume sliders, they don't help. I refuse to slide out of this comment section all together as I have been a loyal customer of this game since its' early days on Steam, before it became available to play even.

Perhaps you are the one who should slide out of this comment section entirely, as you only have five hours compared to my time in game of eighty-eight hours. Either way, you should not be telling me (with far more hours in the game and therefore experience in said game) how to do anything. You are irrelevant.

Which slider did you use? You can simply mute the Lootcatchers by lowering the Rofleemo and Lootcatcher slider to the minimum. This has been mentioned several times in this thread already, and this setting works the same for everyone. If you set the parameter to zero, there's no way you'll be able to hear their sounds.

Radio sounds: You can lower the soldier's sounds by adjusting the SFX slider (though this will reduce other in-game sounds as well). As I mentioned earlier, there isn't a dedicated slider for soldiers yet. If this is critical for you, please stay tuned for updates; we will add this feature in the next major update.

So, you must have changed something else or are talking about something completely different.

I moved both the Lootcatcher and NPC sliders to zero.

Previously the developers had hard-reduced the volume of the lootcatchers to a much more reasonable maximum level. I was hoping you would do that again, as having enormously-loud lootcatchers in my ear while on my train was the issue.
