Oh STFU... How exactly is it a scam? They tell you its early access. You give them money to play early access, you get to play early access. The f@#% are you on about?
Not one year later, but almost two years later. It came out in August 2021 on EGS.
The store page, where you do the actual purchase, says Early Access on it in the customary blue frame. No surprises what so ever.
Trailers are part of the hype machinery, and not to be trusted. I mean, the Redfall trailer looks spectacular! XD
You're right of course, it's no scam. Just Epic wanting to secure early sales of an early access title (which I'm sure they made plenty from). Satisfactory did the same thing. I'm sure there are others; all of which knew exactly what they were doing from a business perspective.
But hey, we should probably listen to the rabble of teenagers and unemployed twentysomethings, because they know how the world really works
2 years for a EA it's nothing (Voidtrain = 12/08/21) most games spent at least 2-3 in EA before having a full release, some need more / less than that, and some are still in EA since the begining of early access 10 years ago x)
