What appearance mods (barbershop, ethnics, portrait, etc.) are you running?

And are all of them updated to the last hotfix? That version mismatching or load order almost certainly has to be the cause and has caused visual bugs like this in the past (another periodic one is the shirtless and naked people visual bugging).

ADD:: Nice stick. They *are* using logs.
^^ using logs...got it!

I'm using:

ethnicities&portraits expanded
rice
rice+epe compability patch
community flavor pack
cfp+epe comp. patch
visible disfigurement

I was deactivating and reactivating the mods to see which one is causing it but the problem was alwas there....

Are you using a saved game made with those mods or are continuing an existing game? RICE, EPE, and the compach between them may all need updates before a saved game made with them works correctly again. Visible disfigurement *may* need updating too.

Saved games made while mods were active have the mod code imbedded in them and need the exact beta version of the game and that exact version of all mods to work correctly. It should also work correctly again after updates/hotfixes between DLC when *everything* updates. It will never work correctly again unless you change to an old beta version of the game *and* use that specific version of old mods together if it is a saved game from before a big DLC drop/very old save.

You can eliminate the base game as the problem if you start a new game, without mods, and the stick issue is gone.

You can still play the game if you want to. It is just a visual bug that doesn't effect anything besides how the portrait looks (the last mod udpate lag made a lot of women bearded albinos until the mods got updated) - and the visuals will sort themselves out again when the mods automatically update.
