16GB of Ram usage

Even in menu usage is atleast 15gb. Can get to 18gb in game. Have uninstalled all mods/verified files/and deleted old saves.

The game seems to run relatively well otherwise but i dont remember it using this much ram when I played a handful of months before, my friend who was the same game I was was using 6gb max. It doesnt make sense to me.

If you want to minimize RAM use revert to the 1.0.2 version.

It would be silly to think you could nearly double the map size, add new portraits, events, governments, and all sorts of things, all while 'attempting' to keep the game speed the same (a fair amount of process work changed as well) and not increase memory usage somehow would it not?

There was even a devdiary about changing from 8 to 16Gb for recommended hardware shortly before the last DLC release. 8Gb is *minumum* to run it. Poorly. With lots of stuttering framerates, crashes, and crazy load times.

This is an absolute pain. I just loaded up the game again after about a year away from it and it plays like sludge. I have a really good laptop and 16GB.
