Buying a monthly subscription and seeing if you are so hooked that you'll play a lot the whole month is the way to determine whether you need to buy DLC at all.

The ones that seem to be pretty consistently recommended are: 'Royal Court' (courts and cultural hybridisation), 'Tours and Tournaments' (grand events and accolades), 'Roads to Power' (adventurers, administrative government and ERE flavour), and 'Wards and Wardens' (some childhood events and the ability to pass traits on). Your mileage with RtP might vary depending on whether adventuring, the new government type, or playing Byzantines appeals to you, but the rest have something for every run.
i recommend the subscription for a month , discover the options for yourself then possibly buy

Royal Court, Wards and Wardens, Tours and Tournaments, can wait for steam sale for cheaper prices
Brownies said it all right.
I can also recommend fate of Iberia and legacy of Persia, if you like these regions. And I think struggle mechanics are good

To be perfectly fair, if you play in a region that has dlc often enough, the DLC for said region is more than worth it. Granted, some have some "hiccups" (All Under Heaven, Fate of Iberia and to a lesser extent, Khans of the Steppe) but they all do enhance playing in the region they cover.

I don't think they ever quite got one of the struggles right, and seem to have pretty much abandoned them now. Iberia's takes too long, especially if you don't know what you're doing - the first time I did that one, years ago now, I ended up trying to convert an expanding kingdom and had to convert most of Spain to actually finish it - and Persia's is over a bit too quickly, with some of the endings being super RNG dependent, and with a quite punishing end if nobody manages to actively finish it.

I don't mind either of those DLCs, especially the Persian one (bit of an Islamic history nerd), but yeah, not a huge fan of the struggles personally. In the story of Goldilocks and the 3 struggle DLCs, they'd only have 2 with no 'just right'.

I don't disagree. Those aren't really my personal recommendations (and it's actually something I pulled from a longer spiel I wrote a few weeks ago that had a caveat about 'where do you want to play'; couldn't really be arsed to write a new thing for the 1,000th time), more the ones I consistently see get recommended.
someone just give me a list.
For example which one lets you go as an adventurer? Or how can i be a maurading army. Like Attila the bum Total war?

How come some youtubes have animations of their court and mine is just pngs?

You can find them by reading the topic but eh, here's the list:

Great to have:

Royal Court
Tours and Tournnaments
Roads to Power
Wards and Wardens

Optional:

Regional DLC for regions that you play in

Buy only if you like what they offer:

Cosmetics

The rest can be skipped entirely, are bad or don't really offer much.
Northern lords, Vikings

Fate of Iberia i- reconquista

Royal courts for hybridize and diverge cultures, wards and wardens (its cheap) , Road to power (lets you have adin gov type and be a landless character) which then lets u play as Venice , you can also conquer venice as a landless character and adopt admin gov . If u have royal court u could then make the venetian culture.

Tours & Tournaments - go to hosted tournaments and win prizes and meet people.

---

I consider these must have's.
Whatever you decide to buy, make sure to wait for a 50% discount. No CK3 DLC is worth the price they're asking for.
