Wait, seriously? This is confirmed?
No, I'll look into it. I'm a Duke, though. Not sure I have a court.
Using the decision to get knights is good for getting more people onto your court since they sometimes can be quite decent at stuff other then fighting
If they both your culture and religion they will likely join for free(doing it this way removes the -50 base chance to join modifier) but if they different culture and/or religion, you might have to slip them a little bribe to convince them(the option to pay their travel) which still ends up being cheaper then the usual recruit costs, and even cheaper then paying for one to join in the event itself
There is also a dynasty prestige choice that makes people with better stats and qualities more wanting to come to your court without you even having to do the work of finding and inviting them. I forget which branch in the dynasty bonuses it's in, but it's the first choice in whatever branch.
Edit: and it's good to get this bonus, because as a dynasty bonus, it won't help just your current character, it will help your whole dynasty/ every ruler you play in that game.
Otherwise, use marriage arrangements.
Sometimes the game only offers them your own Knights or male courtiers as options (based on culture/religion/location) but usually you have good choices.
I usually marry a random knight to a high Intrigue woman with good traits so that she isn't insane serial killer or a traitor. Other knight to a good court physician if no good choices.
And if need knights marry random courtier ladies to the best of the best prowess dudes and free super knights ready to serve. (also avoid insane or evil guys, rather you take 24 Prowess Paragon than a Evil Blackguard with 32 Prowess)
this just proves that ck3 game and event design and its difficulty is a joke lol
i never knew you could exploit it this way... i guess i never really needed too because when you max out you amenities, which also happens quite fast, you dont really have problems with courtiers, and there is also that aformentioned dynasty perk which helps with courtiers too (its a good path too)
