Requesting white peace from the head of faith should be deleted/reworked
Played the new DLC for several hours now.
The mechanic that the head of faith can just end the war in a white peace if you ask him should be removed or deleted.
I just had several occasions in which I tried to get a claim on a specific title (which is also a lot of effort) and started a war to get that title. I reached around 70-80% war score, and suddenly the war ended, and I cannot do anything about it because my enemy asked the pope to white-peace the war.
This has happened 3 times now in my playthrough, and it is very frustrating if you are working towards a claim and it is just for nothing.
I would really appreciate it if this mechanic could be revisited.
Either make the requirements for the losing side harder (a huge amount of faith must be paid or you must be a really devoted believer of that religion).
An alternative would be that the head of faith asks the attacker to accept the white-peace, and if he declines, he gets excommunicated. This way the player gets at least a choice.
It is just very frustrating right now.

I agree. There is very little counter play to this. The pope just being able to white peace your war is egregious. Should be able to tell him no at the risk of being excommunicated, or the cost should be only really affordable once in a life time.
Get rid of the pope.
You can get an antipope. If you answer to the antipope then pope cannot do anything to you besdies trying to get rid of the anti-pope and imprison you. Note: They pope can excommunicate you, but you can get the anti-pope to lift it.

If you have a strong hook on the pope or puppet the pope, they can never take hostile actions against you. The pope will have negative -1000 for a strong hook on them, meaning.

You can reform the faith, to remove head of faith or make yourself the head of faith (Sort of like Caliph). The best option is to get anti-pope and puppet them or strong hook them.
