Why don't unlanded characters want to marry other unlanded characters/lowborns?
It seems so silly that arranged marriages between unlanded/lowborns isn't easier to coordinate. -20 because one of them is unlanded? YOU ARE TOO, YOU WENCH, NOW MARRY THIS OLD GUY

I don't know, would you accept to marry someone just because someone else (say a president) asked you to?
Yeah, then there's also the whole lowborn penalty, even when marrying another lowborn. I can understand why a noble family is against it but that? *shrugs*

It's even worse with any of the AuH cultures with the traditions that hate marrying outside of their own culture. The options for marriage there are abysmal due to both the negative penalties and the game giving you very few options due to those traditions.

Only way to really get around that is to use the character finder and bribe/befriend/abduct people into your court first, then use the arrange marriage option. They can't refuse the marriage in that case (even if the religion sees the spouse's religion as evil).
A bum doesn't want to marry a bum, it makes sense to me
