is there a way to delete or disable this event? I'm sure its some sort of mod conflict, but i can't find the event at all in any files to search out the issue. it triggers for everyone on the map every single game. this last game i started at the east edge of china and 20 years in everyone on the map is named fairhair right now.

if anyone has a way to do this or even just better advice than "open every file in the folder and search for keywords until you find an id number then search your mods for that" like the name of the file or folder in the folder to search and find it. i would be very thankful

No idea about the specific event id, but, and how practical this is will depend on the number of mods you have, you could try turning them off one by one until the issue fixes itself. If you then wanted to see what the conflict was (assuming it's not just the mod itself and is actually a conflict), you could then turn them back on one by one until the issue repeats, then you should have found your offending mods (/mod).

i actually found it game, events, dlc, fp1, fp1_major_decisions_events.

opened it in notepad, found a bit about fairhair at the end then followed that to the beginning menu area, i just deleted both of those, the first reference and the actual event tree down at the end, and now i don't have that event spam anymore, everyone is still named fairhair but that's not a big deal. was way less effort than finding a conflict. i'll just have to remember to do that if i update or verify files.
