I have this same problem with launcher.
Uninstall / Reinstall the LAUNCHER ( launcher-windows-install ). Worked for me.

how did you uninstall and reinstall the lanucher? i dont want to accidently break my files or delete my current games.

figured it out, in your game files under steamlibrary, common, and ck3 file theres a launcher file, and inside of it there is a launcher installer, simply launch the installer and choose to remove/uninstall, and when its done just launch the game from your steam library and the launcher will automatically reinstall, then it should work from there with nothing lost

Nice it worked for me thanks!

Note that you can still play the game by launching the game directly without steam in the steam ck3 folder/binaries

Weird problem, when I clicked this I assumed it was a steam problem as "bootstrapper" is what steam calls it's root program that keeps the others up in case you close one or it crashes. Glad someone has a solution tho!

I dont get it. same problem here but i cant find the launcher file?
sudokek Dec 17, 2020 @ 3:48pm
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III\launcher\launcher-installer-windows.msi

if you didnt change the default path, this should be it.
