How to gain piety?

I understand the basic but when trying to reform Asatru & it says i need around 7000 piety, I just dont know how in the world i am supposed to get that amount before my guy dies.

Anyone know a way to get this much Piety?

Holy Wars, sacrificing captives (one of the tenets make executions gives piety), etc.

the prophet perk from the learning tree gives -50% cost. high learning gives piety so get a wife with high learning. Pilgrimage gets piety. And as asatru you can execute your prisoners for piety so go raid for them.

As Asatru: executing prisoners gives you piety. You also get a special war to fight for prisoners. Capture your religion's holy sites and build a great temple (or whatever it is called) there. Take the learning branches that give you extra piety and extra learning. In the rightmost branch, there is also a perk that halves the cost needed to reform.

Raid Captives, Execute everyone in prison, Go Pilgrimage (very long one, to get instant 625)
Dont forget to capture 3 holy sites

work on theology and intellegence and then just do things to gain you the best perks your religion likes as nordic huntings being a good lord and fighting gets you a lot of peity over the course of a life you would gain about half of what you need besides the holy sites

You get a bunch from pilgrimages. In the learning lifestyle section there's a lifestyle mode that generates extra piety. Increasing your learning skill can increase piety generation. Switching your spouse to boost learning can help with that. Building temples adds 100 per temple. You might get some by making courtiers become monks, but I don't know if you get the piety or they do.
