As a side note, I'm not saying you don't have a right to be upset about what happened to your relatives. That's absolutely fair. I do, however, want to note that if Imperial Japan is "the darkest of human history" in your mind, there is some unfortunate news you might uncover if this very game leads you to study European history.
I do not believe you can know the specifics of the crime. You know someone has the murderer trait, and that they can be imprisoned for it, but you cannot find out exactly who. Unless I am overlooking a kill list like CK2 had.
