Converting a province faith with the console
So I want to create the greeco-bactrian kingdom, the problem is that it takes 68 YEARS to convert only 1 province. I already searched for a console command but couldnt find one. Is there a command to change a county faith, or a command so my oracel finishes his task or a command for an event wich will convert a province instantly?

Yes, there is.
In the console window click on 'Explore Objects'
In the new window, under 'Provider' choose 'Landed Titles' from the drop down menu.
Scoll down or use the search key (e.g. c_roma) to the county you want to convert.
Click on the underlined county name, then click on 'Script Runner' in the new window. Choose 'Effect'.
Type into the window set_county_faith = faith:catholic or whatever religion you want the county to convert to and press 'Run'. Use ctrl+c and ctrl+v to copy and paste this command.
To get a list of faiths, just type set_faith in the console and press TAB. It'll list all faiths.

It sounds more complicated than it is. It takes a while if you want to convert a lot of counties, but it for sure faster than letting your priest do it :)
Thank you, very useful for the counties tend to return to their previous false religion after you wasted hours to convert them.
Is there any way to prevent counties changing back to their original religion after conversion ?

Hmm, only thing I can think of is that maybe the liege of the county still adheres to the old faith. The ai sometimes converts much faster than a player. Make sure all your vassals share your faith.
Any idea how to find out what value I'd need for a forked christian religion?

Wow this was super helpful! Was doing some reconquista and couldn't convert counties for some reason. Hopefully the problem is fixed when my currect character dies, otherwise I'll have to keep using the debug window.

Hello! Don't know if you are still watching this Discussion, had a quick question for you if you know the answer, since i don't know really anything about Explore Objects.

So, with the New Royal court Expansion / Update adding the ability to create new cultures, i was wondering if there is a way to add a culture to a list or something in Explore objects so that you can Convert culture to the Custom Culture the same way as the Faith method you showed.

Please and thank you for reading, and thank you!

Unfortunately it doesn't work this way. Don't even know the culture ID's.
The only thing that works with new hybrid cultures is converting to the (hybrid-) culture of a character with a historic ID.
It's like this: >Explore Objects>Living Characters>yourself>SCript Runner>Effect
Type in set_culture_same_as=character:163111 (or any Historic ID)
click RUN
It only works with historic ID's, so it's basically useless for later game, when all the historic characters are dead.

Work on 1.5.1.1

This can be a solution for some of the problems people have.
I was having the similar issue.. so was looking for a work around and found a solution for culture, so thougth why not try to mix in faith. Well works like a charm...
You just need to hold the county titles yourself to do it.
So convert them before you give them away..:feste:

This works for custome culture and faith as you use your character faith/culture as root.

use first command first, then second.

Culture :crusader_helmet:
effect = { set_global_variable = { name = char_culture value = root.culture }}
effect = { every_held_title = { set_county_culture = global_var:char_culture }}

Faith :praisesun:
effect = { set_global_variable = { name = char_faith value = root.faith }}
effect = { every_held_title = { set_county_faith = global_var:char_faith }}
