What's the point of playing as Norway if you just get steamrolled by Denmark immediately?
I thought the whole point of playing as a faction where you start out as a King was so you could begin with power and not have to be a slave to an AI faction while you try to gain independence, but Denmark just claims your entire kingdom like 2 years after you start and steamrolls you with an army 3x the size of yours so why even bother playing as Norway?

hard start, get allies early by any means. save for pike mercs.
I've never had that problem in any game with that issue and I've played about 10 Norway starts and that's with starting with normal troop lvl's like 400 or so. I always have seen
Sweden as a bigger issue.. Not sure why Denmark is steam rolling you. Perhaps you need to start further up the coast and make better allies?
in 867 start any Viking Jarl can marry Saga Truth Speaker, Halfdan White Shirts daughter and then use that marriage to ally sigurd and bjorn effectively stopping them flat from attacking you,

Denmark and Sweden team up on me and roll in with 6k troops every time.

Interesting, I will keep this in mind, thank you
Why not figure it out? Is not even hard.

I've got 71 hours in the game so far and have made virtually no progress to figuring this out so far....

Allies do ♥♥♥♥ all though, I have to pay a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of Prestige just to get them to join a war with me.

They join defensive wars without cost. Also only time I have an ally not do anything is if they are already fighting another war. Otherwise they always do pretty well for me.

Never experienced Allies doing nothing in any of my many games. Unless they had their own troubles/wars at the time.

Think larger, the point of a strong defensive alliance is to prevent the invasion to start with.

I can't remember how many wars I've been the defender in, they are usually Crusades or holy wars and a few allies aren't that useful against so many enemies.
I'll never understand how overwhelmed so many players get by hostiles. Frankly I only have hostiles if I've been causing trouble for a few generations then I'll have major enemies. If I see I'll lose a war I just surrender with no real losses besides maybe my top dutchy but I keep 4 counties. Even as a norse it's nbd cause you can generally at least survive until you can get your dutchy back. If you die, who cares? Just war your 2 year old brother and take his land. Sometimes losing is okay. It'll give you more time to build up and not have to deal with top level wars.
There are a bunch of solutions to this but I'm gonna say it took me way longer than 70 hours to figure out my way around a run like that. Not saying it should take you that long but don't be discouraged. Murder, marriage, activities, events, hostages, regency, piety, etc. They are all viable and long term strategy can be very beneficial. War and levy count is not the final determining factor.

The war was for my entire kingdom, and that's what they choose every time, so if I lose the war I lose the game

Yeah but this happens like a year after I start my playthrough, I don't even have time to do any of that
