Whyd an uprising get invalidated?
The king i was helping defend was about to win. but just before the last battle ended i got the invalidation prompt. Why is this? Both the king and the landless uprising leader are alive. Same religions. No land lost. Idgi anyone know y?

Anyone know? God this game must be bugged to hell and back to not even say the reason

Land that was involved in the uprising probably switched to someone else due to inheritance. It was no longer your ally's problem in any case.

Well the king is still the top liege but the owner of the specific county that generated the uprising might have changed. You are talking about the peasant leaders that attack if the county's opinion is too low? Or is it a different type of uprising.

how do I know which county generated the uprising? Reloaded an earlier save, looking at the surrender condition it says all rebel supporters go independent + the uprising leader gets the kingdom of france and the county of montpeller. I assumed this would be it but its already catholic and catalan - the same combo as the landless uprising war leader.

This is the biggest uprising that can happen, not minor peasant ones

also every piece of land france controls was catholic before the invalidation and not that it should matter but that was also the case after the invalidation

Probably a cultural uprising for some backwater border county, but during the war someone from another realm inherited the county and invalidated the war (because they'd no longer be fighting your ally for the land since he no longer holds it). Honestly you may never know.

I usually don't stress about helping someone with a populist/peasant rabble uprisingbecause 9/10 times they're over before my troops have even gathered. The AI will call you into the war but does not account for MaA and knights against basic levies (the larger revolts may bring their own MaA but we're talking large-empire uprisings), so even outnumbered they will usually win unless they're bogged down in multiple wars.

Even if you help you'll get like 5 prestige.

I also had a rebel leader die once and that saved my a**. He had pulled a few of my powerful vassals into his uprising, but apparently he died and I got to arrest my disloyal vassals as a result. (I still don't understand why players cannot join populist uprisings as vassals without mods)

Naw this was a major uprising. it was our 8k force against their 20k. and we were winning. If you arent the main attacker you get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of prestige per battle too. I got more than 1k on battles alone during it. I was defending my familys title anyway, so im lowkey annoyed since the pacified modifier wouldve helped keep them in power. All of France's lands were catholic and all belonged to France before and after the war, specially those from catalan where the uprising originated from factionwise
