What's the problem?
Played k's of hours of CK2 and perhaps even CK3 aswell.
Historically setting? Sure
Historical game? Not after you have pressed play. Matter of fact not even really before you pressed play.
There are mods that make CK more historically accurate but the simple fact, irl we simple don't have all the data. I'd say pdx has done a great deal of research with what we're getting.
So no, I never felt CK3 (or CK2 for that matter) was a serious game nor do I think that was/is the intent.
It's a game, enjoy it for what it is; entertainment.
I guess if we wanted to rationalize it, let's just say it's a battle report and noone wants to write home about their noble commander bleeding out in a ditch.
