What I do first is I make my daughter a physician with the learning lifestyle, and then after she gains a few physician traits like wise woman, miracle worker, novice physician and renowned physician, I appoint her as my antiquarian and then revoke her court physician position.
Courtiers with stewardship also make good antiquarians, even the courtiers with diplomacy traits. However, courtiers with intrigue traits and intrigue lifestyle tend to do poor at being antiquarians.
Never had this issue.
Maybe stop letting your capital barony being sieged.
Spymasters with 15 points of intrigue do very, very poor at disrupting schemes, any type of schemes, they take a long time to discover schemes and they end up missing most of the schemes against you and your courtiers. The best spymasters have 23 intrigue and up.
I did ask him nicely: "Would you please give my banner back or do i send iron to border and drown your realm in blood and burn everything to the ground". He did give banner back holding it one day and have never tried to steal it again.
I have even started to consider abdicating and risking a civil war in hope that my hair has enough fame to duel for the artifact once it's stolen.
You must have super cool artifacts.
Nobody tries to steal my artifacts and they are decent. Honestly, the only thing that happens is my kinsmen Vassals always demand artifacts from me, but I just decline them or ignore them. They might not try to steal my artifacts because I always have a very high dread and my spymaster is frequently a brother, cousin or a very loyal vassal that has 100 plus opinion of me. Technically, all my vassals are my brothers, grandchildren, nephews or grandfathers and brothers at the same time and we are all inbred unless we are pureblooded. Hence they have claims on all my artifacts, which I can't prevent because we're all completely related, but they only demand my artifacts, they don't attempt to steal them from me.
No type of foreign ruler has a real claim on my artifacts unless they purchase a claim.
But honestly, I don't have to be stealing artifacts or being jealous for artifacts because I just focus on creating my own artifacts and upgrading the in battles or with my antiquarian.
I managed to fix my issues with two mods now.
One which nerfs how much characters loose in disposition, depending on how rare the artifact is. The finest remains unchanged. They also have a few years cool down in order to not have a artifact demand spam from the same character.
And I just got a mod which nerfs intrigue by making the defender's intrigue matter more when defending against plots. That would also make it harder for me to succeed with my plots, which seems fair. And it seems that the thief actually abandoned his plot this time, so I can finally stop reloading.
Don't you have to make a new game when you get a new mod?
