A Paradox account............WTF!

Why do i have to make yet another fu**** account to play this game on STEAM!?! Do it optinal ffs.

Just wanted to pop in and say you absolutely do not need a paradox account to play this game in singleplayer offline with mods etc (I do it myself). An account is only needed for multiplayer. If you have been stymied by the launcher when it first opens, there is a tiny tiny little "skip" prompt in the upper right that allows you to skip that launcher registration stuff.

Nope, people really are like that these days. She actually owned the game, installed it, and got a refund with 0 game time. She didn't even care enough to look at what she was doing. Her loss.

In fairness, I think I know what this person might have been referring to that was causing the confusion for him/ her. In my experience, CK3 was my first Paradox game, and all of the games I'd bought before were on Steam. So when I bought CK3 on Steam, too, I just assumed it would play through Steam on my Steam account just like all of the others, and there was a hot minute for me of not knowing what was going on when I was being told to set up a Paradox account. But you're all correct in that you don't actually need a Paradox account to play the game through the Paradox launcher.
