a trait with "domain_limit = 20" will add 20 to the domain limit of anyone with the trait.
I might be wrong but i believe he meant that modding one's stewardship to 100 equates to 20 domain limit.
@Simba - there's multiple mods that increase the domain limit
set_stewardship 100
to get the 20 domain limit. You might possibly get more from setting your spouse to help your stewardship and do
set_stewardship 100 (character id)
With debugmode on you can mouse over a character and the id number is in the tooltip. I haven't tried using my spouse to get more so I don't know if it will work.
never tried it so curious thats all
The max you can have in any stat is 100 unfortunately.
I understand it can be rough starting out in this game but 20 holdings is definitely enough land. You can have 20 pieces of land pretty early on and stomp on an emperor without any help (especially if tribal).
You should try and learn to play owning just 8-9 pieces of land as that's very typically the land you can own when you have two full duchies.
When I started playing there was a hilarious exploit where you could have infinite holdings - but that's gone now.
Revert back to the original patch?
This game is super easy to mod (EU4, HOI4 and CK3 all share the same basic file structures).
Why you can't have more than 100 in a stat you can probably revert the penalty to holding too many titles or you can change the base number. Now you made me curious - let me go look at the files.
Even if there's not a simple option there will certainly be a work around. There are several bonuses of +1 domain limit floating around. You could find one that isn't universal and change that 1 to 100.
Hey simba, here, have this mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2454142300
You will not have dutchy limit anymore, no penality for going higher than you are supposed to and you can rule over 5000 cities, castles, ...
