Can't connect with my account to Paradox Launcher

If you're experiencing issues starting the game:

- Try restarting Steam completely (by clicking "Steam" -> "Exit" in the top left hand corner)
- Try deleting your ...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III -folder on your computer
- You can try reinstalling the launcher (go to add/remove programs in Windows, find Paradox Launcher and uninstall it)
- Verify the game files (right click the game in Steam -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify integrity of game files)

I had the same issue, turns out the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ windows defender was blocking both the launcher and the game. Try allowing both, worked for me.
