Does Dismissing Knights Lock Out Other Characters?
Essentially the title is my question. Some of the early characters are hinted at having lore connection with other characters you may be able to recruit down the road.

Example: Based on the mission where you meet Sir Tristan, I'm guessing, we haven't seen the last of Lady Isolde. Now I don't know if she actually is recruitable, or if its a central story mission, or a side mission, etc. But if I dismiss Tristan now, do I lock out my chance at recruiting Isolde later?

And even if that's not a good example, I'm wondering if there are other times when that happens. I just want to make sure so I don't make a mistake if I have to dismiss.

Thanks!

Without going too deep into spoilers. That is THE best example. And the answer is yes. Most of them you can dismiss outright, but some do unlock missions later on. Tristan is the only one that unlocks a whole new character though

Most act 1 heroes have 1 mission after which u can kick them. Some act 2 heroes have missions 2 but thats about it.But most of heroes u get this way are not worth investment anyway.Since u get better heroes later on anyway.

Thanks everyone. I am struggling a little bit with the notion of kicking knights that I have trained up a bit for newer heroes. But I am starting to see where those loyalty bonuses for morality are shaking out and have found some targets for elimination I think haha.

Yea if they are the complete opposite of your alignment its best to dismiss them unless you want to just keep them at the base for bonuses. One conflicting moral is very doable to keep them loyal just send them on events when you can.

If by "one conflicting morale" you mean that you also share 1 morale alignment(like, you are old faith and rightful, and they are christian and rightful), I get it, but you really have to "want" that character for it to be worth it, and make sure they do not have a trait that might cause them to drop loyalty due to your prefered choices.

I greatly discourage keeping characters with opposite morality(example: Old faith+rightful vs christian+tyrant). At least for combat purposes.
Just to break even(around 0 to avoid penalties) you would have to send them on the majority of events that pop up, and/or equip them with loyalty gear.
Events are great for characters that only share 1 of your loyalty paths or are neutral, and having to spend those events on someone who is negative towards your choices, is wasteful.
