And i spent my points that way:

Strike: bread and butter skill because of Overwatch
- Strong Grip
- Open Wounds

Rage: Bring it on!
- Bloodlust
- Anger Management

Cleave: Very good, love this skill
- Bleeder
- Severing blow
- Momentum
- Hack and Slash

Following Equipment is imho good for him:
- Armour: Sigil of Taranis (-50% for incoming armour break; +1 Injury counter)
- Weapon: Rune of Smite(+10% Armour break; +1 damage to unharmed enemies)
- Potion 1: Healing Potion (+50% HP)
- Potion 2: Bless Potion (+50% damage for 1 turn)
- Trinket 1: Onyx Ring (+1 armour when outnumbered)
- Trinket 2: Trophy of Rage (+2 damage for Oppertunity attacks; +5% damage if getting hit)


My rating for this character: situational melee crowd clearer, must see more lvls to improve. Sir Balan is imho better.
