is this game permadeath or "iron man" mode ?
i dont like to lose heroes in a battle and perma lose them . for me the fun comes from doing the best turn possible to beat stages . i do not like games where i get punished and my units get removed permanently , just asking to know if i would like this game or not

Depends on difficulty. On hardest difficulty all heroes dies forever. You can ressurect only one during campaign. Also you can enable "ironman" mode, but it does not work properly. You still can load last save point and replay last fight (but game saves automaticly and you cannot create multiple save points). So to play "true ironman" you should control yourself and delete campaign if you fail.

Hardest difficulty actually is not hard but you can still fail if you make mistakes in character development. So I recommend to play on hardest difficulty.

Legion IX is noticeable harder and has proper ironman.

the reason why im asking is because i dont want a game that is iron man only , if i play a normal or easy run , if my unit dies in combat , will it be still avaible for the next mission ?

On easy difficulty. But it's very hard to die on easy difficulty.
