Building resources at endgame

Am I missing something? Why am I still getting building resources at endgame? What am I supposed to do with this now? I don't think I can use the Decree often enough.

I guess for people who'd been using the decree during the campaign for extra gold - gives them a chance to finish their buildings in end game. But yeah, doesn't feel very rewarding otherwise.
