But that's the thing about this game you gotta mix and match your weps/armor for each mission and what heroes you have at the time. That other sword won't work unless you have an arcanist with a slowing hex and a shield/meele with knockdown. Maybe everyone LOL I'm using level five on my 10s but I haven't gotten a bunch of level 10 gear yet. Still pwns. Hard to explain this game to people who never played. Loyalty is pretty big and you can swap those guys around at the round table and their 1-5 system is weird. Is there even a benefit for maxing out someone's loyalty to 20? As far as I can tell once I hit 16 with the +1AP that's it. Take the person with Max loyalty out of the round table and replace them with somebody who will jump to the next level with the three loyalty points there. That's basically what this game is. If you don't like paying attention and swapping things around constantly you probably won't like it. And again my comments are not directed towards you. I just jump on your posts like Lil Jon used to jump on tracks.
(OKAY? Whaaatt? Yeeyayyy!)
Thats what everyone who plays this gamee needs to know.
+1
And not just that. It applies to any chest you open during a mission.
In my experience, rerolls happen at mission start/end. Loading a mid-mission save has no apparent impact on chest content.
I'll note that rerolling the Merchant/Tower/Forge is SO much more efficient than attempting to reroll mission chests that there's no point in doing anything else.
I do a quick save before I open every chest and I'll get a different item. But I've only done it twice.
Hrm. I've never really bothered to go back to saves to reroll items, but I have gone back when I wanted to redo a battle, and the items from chests after the battle have been the same.
I'll have to check again.
I can confirm this. I'm looking at two of the same relic sword on my screen right now.
The mission I initially noticed on was a barrel behind me I didn't even notice the first time. Soon as the mission started you were pointing "north" and the barrel was "south". Now I always rotate the camera when I start, just to check. I think that's the only one I ever missed at first. So far. First time I got the yellow pot, second time I got I think 17 gold, 3rd time it was a blue armor pot. But like you say I don't take the time for those random things like I used to do in Starfield. Not really worth the time.
But I'm pretty sure they're all randomly generated I'll test it a few more times but it's not that big of a deal.
Guess maybe we're talking about different things. I'm talking about during a mission..the random piles and barrels. I guess I shouldn't have said "chests" specifically because I've never tested those specifically. But the barrels and the piles of bones or whatever are randomly generated from what I can tell. You can't see the stats when you pick them up as you say… But from what I can tell there's only like five different pots in this game and you can see the color real quick as soon as you pick it up. Just like you can see if you pick up a blue, green, or relic item. And it specifically tells you how much gold was in it if that's the reward. You can't see the specs, but you can see what it is going to be when the mission is done. The alters always have the same effects. So I quick save before I touch those if I don't have somebody with enough spellcraft to recognize what they actually do. If they debuff me I'll just restart and not do it.
Just tested, no matter how many times I reload I always get the same loot from a given chest, even down to the exact number of gold.
OK. Just to clarify, is that a chest? Or is that a Loot pile or a barrel? Because like I said before that's the difference for these. The chests are set in stone. Just like the altars.
The Loot piles and barrels and such seem to be randomly generated items.
