Eagle-eyed ring of dueling

I think I've ran into 3 duels so far and I just got this ring. Is there a way to know the mission is going to have a duel? The +1 perception would be nice but I don't really want to waste the slot on +2 to dueling if I'm not going to actually get into it dual. Have I not unlocked something in Camelot I might need it for? I was thinking maybe for Knights tournament if jousting is considered dueling also?
I looked through tutorials, game mechanics and status effects but I don't see anything about it.

Duel applies to normal battles too, you can see description in game. Basically it is when both your knight and enemy knight are not adjacent to other knights except each other. Quite often vanguards are in duel too, when jumping behing alone enemy and killing it with few attacks.

Great thank you. Where is the description located? Will I only be able to see it in combat? I looked everywhere else I could think of.

Apparently I'm blind. Missed that somehow. I think I thought they were in alphabetical order, after my eyes saw effectivenessI think I just skipped it. Thanks.
