Difficulty Spike
Is it just me or does diffuculty go banannas around level 12 missions?
Im playing on hard and so far i havent really had major troubles. minor injuries but always have a fresh team. now i get to some missions that i cant even finnish with a full fresh team. its the sidhe side missions

I'm stuck in that nighmare mission, no save and when you die - keeps restarting from beginning - also on hard mode but the level design is not fun, keep repeating the same mission.

Difficulty goes from the floor to the roof when nearing the end of Act II imo (Deepwood). Still fine... none has died yet.... yet:chocola2:

Worth restarting in normal then? Not even in Act 2

Not sure yet. one i know did. im trying a different sidemission now with a different team. But tbh im not sure what ive could have done better up until now. my knights that are not fighting usually trains. oh well

No, just started Act IV. Feels like the side missions are very few in the whole Act III, my team is under leveled compared to the main mission.

I love this game. but there is for sure some pacing/diffuculty issues imo

It is good design. You are supposed to use different tactics on different stages.

sure. and i might not have been good to implement that. it just seems like a major difference in difficulty in a short time

Imo the difficulty fell down the train half way Act III. Morgana mission was pain, the first battle but after it's been cakewalk without worries. Using Mordrem, Witch queen, Morgana and the Tyrant sage. Fomorians offer zero challenge, I can lock them down completely with multiple slows, shocks and chill/freeze.

Try timing the act transition with a merchant or even enchanted tower refresh so that get some higher tier equipment.


I think in act 3 the chars actually start to get very strong and you start outscaling the game a bit if you use them properly.
