You spend the entire game developing and growing your squad of knights to rid the kingdom of Arthur.... and then don't get to see any of the aftereffects. The game immediately halts any of the quality of gameplay features that were present throughout the campaign. Every mission from that point forward is a blank slate of battles with the very rare "do you want to give this guy a potion" dialogue tossed in.
The biggest disconnect is seeing that 80% of the Soul Fragment gear is worse or equal to what you are already wearing. Most of the pieces have some perk that is only specific to SOME knights... like, "Your traps do +6 Damage". So I guess if I didn't take a Vanguard that uses traps, there is no point in Grinding Soul Fragments for their gear. Same for an Arcanist that doesn't use Force Bolt. They gave us so much choice and customization through the campaign... and then the end game slaps us with a rigid set of items that don't warrant their equipment slot.
I would have spent at least another 100 hours in this game if the end game didn't feel so neglected.
The Icing on the cake is, they added seasonal content/DLC that has NOTHING to do with the actual heroes you spent a hundred hours pruning and developing. It's just a short set of quests where you control some Fromarian brute as he does Fromarian brute things. Terrible.
The campaign portion of this game was exceptional... some of the best I have ever played. But they completely dropped the ball on the endgame, and so far, the seasonal content.
