Should I worry about knights opposite of my morality
Just had Guinevere join the round table but I'm playing a tyrant Christian playthrough. I really want to grab her up on my roster but I'm not sure if it is completely worth it. Like if I play the balance game and make some choices to bring up her loyalty at the expense of others, will I have enough points to unlock the final tiers of Tyrant and Christianity or will I end up starving myself of the knights and bonuses at the end?

Keep in mind that you CANT increase her loyalty to useful levels that way. If you take a couple of Rightful or Old Faith choices to appease her, and then you try reach max Christian and Tyrant level again, she will end suffering a max penalty to loyalty anyways.

@OP

You can actually calculate this - the loyalty addition or deficit = Morality/Religion points / 2 (rounded down). Guinevere can get up to -20 based on a Tyrant/Christianity alignment. Not to mention about her Disloyal trait.

I have successfully managed someone like Merlin (Neutral/Old Faith) to have loyalty at 16+ in act 4 by sending him repeatedly for events on a T/C campaign. In Guinevere's case, the best you can hope for is Neutral.

On the flipside, Guinevere is more of a support role when compared to someone like Merlin so the negative dmg modifier doesn't hurt as much. The -1 AP sucks though.

I think you can keep her until a quest unlocks with her as a mandatory member. After that, you can maybe dtich her for someone like Isolde. T/C has access to a decree called "Purse of Gold" if you want to keep her to maybe get her Loyalty out of the -1 AP range.

Thanks for the info. It sounds more like a hassle to keep her at this point. I just put so much into ector early on that I felt compelled to roll down those paths. Perhaps on a different run. Thanks again!

Yeah I think the point is to play with heroes that line up with your morality. Then go through the game again following a different path, using different heroes. It increases replayablity rather than trying to cheese the system.

There are tomes that remove negative traits. So, it's possible to remove her Disloyal trait. but strait opposite alignments are not good in this game (imo). I use Guinevere, but I'm Rightful Christian (so I have her at level 3 loyalty right now).

You can also give a Knight a good title that matches their alignment. I think that would give a +5 at most. But it's worth considering.
