Only ever used him once- which is the moment I met him.
Merlin and Morgana work very well together. Highly recommend that combo. Isolde too.
Gotta keep Ector in Camelot though. Never dismiss him.
Kay is da man! And he only gets better and better. At some point, you're gonna say - Ease up, Kay. Ease up. Leave a little something for the rest of them.
One of the great things about this the game is the subtle differences between all the knights. Lots of different strategy options.
I used Ector until I got Merlin. It was just about that time when Fire Blast was getting a bit anemic. And Ector was becoming unhappy with my Righteous Old-Faith path.
Arcanist are amazing. Running currently (beat the game and amin post-game missions atm):
Mordred
Lancelot
Ector
Merlin
Mordred and Lancelot are great and def needed to do some damage and crowd control, but two arcanist slinging AOE's (two a turn if I use Lancelots AP skill) is just nuts. Can completely decimate numerous enemies a turn like this.
For them I also highly recommend grabbing the staff relics that apply fire damage immediately once you see them pop up, takes them from being awesome to literal gods of fire able to burst down even bosses in a round or two.
If you get their gear kitted out correctly you can do 100's of damage on 5-10 enemies a turn.
Cheers to the devs for making a game with so many viable options!
True. Merlin can scorch everything to embers - especially with some of the relics. And that's just one of his talents.
Reminds me of the quote, "Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life." Enemies have 1-3 turns if they are touched by Merlin - tops.
Agreed. That's not easy to do.
