Character Sheets In Mission
Is there a way to be able to view character sheets in missions? It would be really helpful to get a reminder of what my armor or weapons are doing/impacting.

There is another thread on this very topic just below. If you look at your characters for a few seconds before the mission, it should be easy to remember their equipment. And if you don't remember, you'll remember to check next time.

I kinda like the way the missions limit everything - including access to all info.

I agree with Odd. This should be patched in. There are way too many bonuses and numbers to keep track of on the characters' equipment to remember it all before starting a mission. Also, as you get further into the game, there are more characters to keep track of which further emphasizes the need for this feature.

Agreed.
Unless you're willing to take pen & paper in hand every time you start a mission, I suggest as well to add the option to check character sheets mid-mission (or at any point in-game via a shortcut).

+1, it's really a missing feature, can't even see what the character items are...

Agreed, this would be a nice feature. Maybe Ctrl click on the character's portrait if they are selected?

I would appreciate a posibility to check the character and especially the Equipment in the missions too

When I see posts like the OP there, I wish there was a like button in the Steam forums.

I agree that we should be able to peruse our character sheets, or a summary of the effects that our gear, and challenge bonuses, give.

You don't have to remember everything from your characters, all buffs are displayed as you mouse over them.

Not completely true. Many item effects like +2AP at the start of each encounter, or +1AP per kill are not displayed for mouseovers.

Not too many people clamoring for this change - yet.

I definitely ran into this a few times during my playthrough. Usually it was when something wasn't working the way I expected and I wasn't sure if it was a bug or if I was just misremembering what the item/skill description said (or if I'd not actually equipped/taken the item/skill upgrade I thought I had).

It wasn't a huge problem or anything, but it's a basic enough feature that I was definitely surprised (and mildly frustrated at times) to find it wasn't present.

I could see this kind of an argument over a multiplayer game or a boardgame where remembering certain information could work to your advantage over other people, but here it's is just bad design.

I mean, this is a singleplayer game and you have the unlimited access to what item does what outside of missions, so there is literally no point to force people to write down the effect of items they have on their knights. It simply gets irksome and unnecessary.

I guess even the developers noticed that, because some items that grant you limited dodge ("you dodge an attack of opportunity" one) were given an icon on character's portrait whenever the effect still applies. Shame we didn't get other QoL improvements for other items.

I understand where you guys are coming from. You have a sword with +10 dmg against burning enemies and there are two enemies right there and one is burning and one is not. You want to make the best decision with complete information. I get it.

But it's a slippery slope. Fine, let's say the devs capitulate on the issue. What about when you take your B-Team on a mission for the second time in row - because you forgot to swap your fully healed A-Team back in? What about when you forget to restock your potions? What about having access to the items you find in a mission? What about -only- having access to your potion inventory? What about being able to back out of a mission?

What about when you move your equipment to a B-Team member and forget to swap it back? Yes, one mission Kay was completely naked. He may as well have been equipped with a feather duster. Trust me, the struggle was real.

The point is there is a whole panoply of minor requests like these. And these threads attract the people that want the change - or sympathize with the people that want the change. Where's the harm? But most of the people that like it the way it is or don't care either way, don't post in these threads. In fact, most people don't post in the forums, period. The best way to gauge the demand for something is to read the reviews. And I don't hear many people complaining about this issue.

A cow is a racehorse designed by committee. I don't want to make this game a cow.

Everyone has their pet issue. And the goal is to make it seem like it's a big issue. But for this issue, you're gonna need more than, like, ten people. Let's start with a hundred people.

I just want a damn button for the map so I can lean back in my chair and play the game one-handed instead of fumbling around for the M key. It's more comfy that way.

I like the way it is.

There are only 4 characters, it's not that difficult to remember how you kitted them.

Trading potion or changing gear mid mission would be detrimental to the game i believe. Missions aren't that long. You fight, go back to town and prep, fight, etc... it's the game flow.

You need to make choices and prepare carefully.
