Tristan quest - Is bugged for me

I see him in the boat - I can't interact with him. I go into the ruined castle, I win that battle, he is dragged up the screen to the Ruined castle and talks and I still can't interact with him.
I go to the fire pyre and defeat the banshee and he then is dragged across the screen from the castle and talks.
I finish the mission.
Is he recruitable? Guess not now?
Game is still buggy.

I cant remember exactly what i i had no problem recruiting him , after defeating the banshee he thanked me and lit the pyre then followed s brief conversation where i had the option of asking him to join . If i recall correctly i had no problem interacting with him on the boat perhaps the problem is there sounds like it could be a bug

@shreck85236 was correct, that's how things happen in the Whispering Cove mission. Sir Tristan automatically joins you after you completed the mission. He didn't appear in your roster? Not even in your Aspirant Hero list?

No he did not. I don't have access to him.

Then please verify your game files in Steam as this is not a general bug but seems to be specific only to you. The culprit should be some game files (unfortunately this will not spawn Sir Tristan into your Hero roster, that would require a new gameplay).

I verified the game files. I also just ran into a bug where my character during a battle runs in place and is stuck and you cannot get out of it unless you restart the mission.

I have completed this quest several times with no issues. In my game today, I am having this same issue. He's sitting at the boat, but I can't click on him. I got out of the game to verify the files, showing no issue with any files. I jump back in game and he is still unclickable; yet he is standing now. :)
