Merlin vs Morgawse Spoiler question

Does it make a difference for the story which one you side with? Also does anyone have access to their tier 3 skills yet? What skills do they get ?

I went with Merlin, as my main run is Old Faith / Righteous.

Morgawse seemed more Tyrant based.

Merlin gets access to addition fire based stuff for his tier 3. I can nab a screenshot for you.

hm i tried both im not sure having your evil mom around is worth it unless its really strong tier 3 i went with merlin since his triple fireball is just nuts.

But Morgawse just gets killed there as for skills. Merlin is a typical arcanist that has a good variety of skills like the one's you've used already in addition to some aoe fire spells. Morgawse like her son is all lightning and ice but more damage in comparison. Still a caster, that can tank when she wants.

From what I've seen, the story doesn't change drastically based on your decisions. You'll have some different dialogue bout that's about it. The main difference between morality/religion is the characters you get, as some are locked behind alignment milestones,

As for Merlin vs Morgawse, Merlin is a arcanist with some really powerful fire spells, great for doing lots of ranged damage to groups of enemies. Morgaese is a Sage, so she's a melee spell caster, with some support spells, but also some very strong burst damage spells. They're different classes so you can't do a direct comparison. They are both very strong though.

morgawse is my go to sage and i run 3 (guin, mor, isolade)...she is incredibly powerful around 18+...merlin is good if u are not going to have either the fae knight (melee arc) or morgana le fey who is insane when paired with morgawse and mordrid they all use lightning or cold with morgawse using both...its nuts

I chose mom just because I could not stand Merlin's voice actor.

Merlin gives up Arcanist Hexes for Fire damage and non traditional CC (decoy/mind fog.) His fire damage works decently when mobs are positioned together. Though Ector can hit just as hard if not harder with fire blast. Also, Merlin voice actor.

Morgawse tier 3 includes Thunder Storm, Master of Lightning, and Mysticisim. Chain lightning allows her to hit and shock 4 enemies as an opener even when they are not grouped together. Master of lightning and Mysticisim can combine to reduce all your lightning damage spell cooldowns by 2 if you kill with a lightning spell, which can let you cast two thunderbolts a turn when upgraded or chain lightning every other turn. And she still gets ice wall for all of those vanguard/champion shinagins or closing off an approch from enemies, and Ice shield to eat 4 free hits. Also master of Ice, which if she is in a team comp with Morgan le Fey can boost her damage by 10% per chilled/frozen enemy.
