No more deleting to make room for new characters?
Since you can only put a limited number in your active team. It make no sense to have to delete one of you inactive member to make room when you encounter new characters. Chances are that once you've build your core team and a few backup in case of injuries. You won't be swapping out member all the time so having enough slots won't really change who you bring into battle. It's also waste that it seems a lot of thought have gone in to character story progression. Not able to experience that seems like wasted effort.

Some characters serve better as a "building administrator" (or whatever the generic title is) than keeping on your "A" team anyway so having extra character slots is a good thing, imo.

this game design choice is awful ! why would I want to lose the ability to progress my quest for a character that I genuinely like, simply in order to recruit Merlin (as an example) into my party ?? A terrible design choice, and as such, I will NOT buy this game in its current form….

This is a pretty bad game design

I think the idea was that you delete chracters who don't fit your alignment or planned alignment.

But I still have to agree, it would be better if you could keep these characters. If they leave Camelot because of alignment reasons that is a different thing, but having to kick them out from this huge castle doesn't make sense and is annoying.

+1, I will also wait for dev clarifications since this defies planning without knowing in advance whom you are going to meet and when.

I have also lamented this point when it was introduced in the latest patch and I'm glad to see that other people see it as a problem too. It was not like that until the last patch and you could freely swap between active and "waiting" chars before. I guess they changed it because it matches the mechanics of the older King Arthur games. Still, I hope they revert it now that more people want to see it changed. The devs have been listening to feedback a lot so there is some chance they might, if the mechanic doesn't appeal to many.

The Heroes in your 'active' rosters are those who sit around your Round Table. It is your decision who you bestow with such a position and who you dismiss. You can remove someone whose loyalty is in the negative or those whom you don't prefer for any kind of reason (characteristic, skills, traits etc.).

You benefit more in the long run if you keep those Heroes around you whose Morality alignment is the same as yours. But this will also grant you a replayability as choosing another path on your second run will give you the chance to unlock new Heroes on the Morality chart and also to build a new Round Table with different Heroes.

Honestly I think it is not the best thing that heroes have to be dismissed and are gone when you want to switch them on the active roster.

Eh, I think it is fine and thematic. Only so many seats at the table after all.

But why must a knight be gone forever if one just wants to swap out? That is not so nice.

If you dishonor the knight by replacing them I don't think they're going to serve you for very long.

Might be true. But it should be more like a chance. Like when he has high loyality he should and could understand. If he already dislikes you, well... It should not be a 100 % thing.

But that is just my opinion :)

Excellent point. I really do not like this mechanic. Poor game design and a pass from me as a result.

Poor game design is a statement of fact. You can not like it that's fine, that's your opinion. But you not liking it doesn't make it bad game design.

I wish I could just set a filter and remove whatever steam lvl 0 trolls write.

They obviously had a reason for this mechanic, its not the end of the world for me. I was not even using half the characters in my first run of the demo anyway.
