Yes If your Having the same problem as me which was the game wont even start when I Press Play. It seems to run the application then closes.
Here is what you want to do. Go into windows defender, go to the lefside panel and click on App and Browser Control. Next click on where it says exploit protection settings ( It should be below Exploit Protection ). On the very top you will see 2 tabs System Settings Which you are in now, and Program Settings, Click on program settings. Right Under The Program Settings Tab you will see a plus Icon That says Add Program To Customise. Click on it and choose the option : " Choose Exact File Path " Then Go into Steam/Steamapps/Common/Secondsight Directory. Choose SecondSight.Exe. Now a window should pop up That Says : " Program Settings: Secondsight.exe ". Now Scroll Down Until you see Force Randomization For Images ( Mandatory ASLR ). Click on Override System Settings, Hit Off Then apply.
If it works and you go ingame. There Will be a black screen with a loading bar. Let it load and if you feel like it's taking to long Alt-Tab ou and then in.
Good Luck and Have a nice day. :)
I haven't gotten to try this yet but thank you so much for this explanation
Dude I wanna PayPal you a thanks, you just fixed a TON of games for me that were having this issue, you rock!
Untrue GoG version does the same thing unless I do the steps above.
sadly, mine still doesnt work even after this. It looks like if i put in windows 98/me it works, but the resolution is horrible and i cant play it as im missing half the screen. Any ideas?

Options > CPU > CPU affinitities >
process match: secondsight.exe
cpu affinity cpu 0 1 or maybe just 0

Lol!
I didn't have a problem, so it must be the most surface lvl difference that causes you problems retort! XD
I doubt there is much difference between which store you bought the game in. There are allot of issues with certain screens, hardware and software that causes this game to struggle for some. It can be a long road to run an optimized game for PC properly for some users.
Edit:
Okay. Nevermind! GOG did some updates themselves to make the GOG version better according to another discussion. Though it was from 2021. I'm considering refunding and trying the GOG version in case it requires less fixes to run well
