Ladder in missile silo - final level

[CONDOR V]

How do you use ladder in the missile silo after deactivating self destruct sequence? I always fall down to the bottom and die. Interact key does not work. And the grappling hook does not become available. If i recall on the original you could use the grappling hook to descend. Is this another bug?

Ladders are bugged in the game if you start falling down it press space to grab onto the ladder

Thanks that worked. jumped down onto ladder and pressed spacebar. wow how sad is that.
