I am just saying that the modern aRPG audience is much bigger then those like you and me that may prefer the old school style more, so they could get influenced more by those modern aRPG players then the actual fans of games like TQ and GD.

Of course I do have hope in this game and believe it looks really good, but I'm just venting my personal worriers for going EA and relaying more on player feedback then having a roadmap for the game the devs want TQ2 to be.
Well if it turns out to be that TQ2 will be a braindead sequel like Diablo 4 then just continue playing Grim Dawn, TQ1, PoE, Last Epoch, and probably a dozen other aRPGs that replicate the old school feeling

I mean your not wrong but when TQ has been my favorite aRPG game for years its only natural to be cautious and at the same time optimistic about its future.

I agree though that even though TQ2 is my most anticipated upcoming aRPG there are TONS of classic ones to re-play and some interesting indie/AA aRPGs coming in the near future as well that I believe will be pretty good.

I can't help I'm passionate about the future of this franchise and the only reason I'm being so critical is because I don't want it to fail or to turn into another generic aRPG with the TQ skin over top of it. I have nothing but praises for the actual gameplay but EA will really tell us if the devs have a roadmap/plan for this game 1.0 release or if they are just taking feedback from anyone and throwing it against the wall to see what sticks with the masses of the aRPG genre (i.e. POE/D4 heads lol).

I don't blame you, I'm the exact same way with No More Room in Hell 2. Been in development for about a decade now, refused the community's charity to help with development, then sold out to the developers that sold out to Epic Games to get that fat exclusive check and release Chivalry 2 exclusively for a year or so on Epic Games and then abandons the game with still a lot of issues and improvements with the game. So I can understand, and that's why they're releasing it in Early Access, so we as a community know it's not what they want and for us to help them is to play it and give them feedback whether it's critical or not. I pre ordered Diablo 4, tried the beta and was liking it until I reached the first town and realized that it was just a cash grab ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Mobile aRPG *cough cough* Diablo Immortal *cough cough* so I said hell no, uninstalled it and refunded the game and Diablo 4 is still a piece of crap of a game to be called Diablo 4

Really hope they haven't limited the game to just Greece, one of the biggest charms of Titan Quest was traversing the entire world and playing in so many varied environments!
trailer shows boring game

I am a bit torn.

On one had its good to be able to try and test the game, after all Blood West, Grim Dawn did well.

On the other hand I am a bit worried how much the publisher will invest into reworking the game if it requires it and given what I see on gameplay videos a few things need a lot of rework if they want to compete on the modern market.

My worries are similar to your but in a completely different way. As I The devs have made it clear this game is not really competing with modern aRPGs, but will community feedback transform this game into a modern aRPG anyway?

I was excited for TQ2 because the devs seems to have taken a hard stance on the classic aPRG game design like Grim Dawn over the modernized takes of it like POE, LE and D4. However now that the game is confirmed to be going into EA and the devs are heavily talking about the community helping shape the game, I'm worried that many modern aRPG players will want to turn this game into another POE/LE/Diablo over keeping it closer to the original because modern aRPG players only care about modernized aRPGs.

The question is what are they taking feedback on? What are the devs vision for this game in the first place? and how far are they willing to change their vision to meet player feedback?

I just hope the devs intention is to keep it as close to TQ (and GD) as possible and are just taking slight feedback to improve the smaller things like bugs, QoL,...etc and they are not looking for player feedback to help complete the game for them.

I would really be gutted if after all of these years TQ2 ends up as an aRPG that in no way resembles where the original came from (outside of the setting) because of the dev team relying on too much player feedback to design their game over have their own vision for a legendary aRPG like TQ.

I think the same.
In early access there will probably be a lot more modern players, with a preference for things seen in modern arpgs.
Those of us who like the original Titan Quest, just as it is, will be a minority.

The only thing I hope is that the developers play the original Titan Quest a lot, so they can appreciate the essence, the spirit, and above all the small details that make it great (like the obsidian stones in places with monsters, to explain how the influence of the telkine has made them become more aggressive and attack us. Or how the path in Olympus goes up in a zigzag path shaped like a lightning bolt (like Zeus's lightning bolts)).
Early access TQ2 = instant buy
Может тогда уже запустить игру, раз уж игра будет early access?
Please keep this game the classical way, like D2, TQ1 and Grim Dawn - Like exploration gameplay and tactical meaningful slow combat with slow progression. Do not turn this game in arcade style like D4 and PoE, one week gameplay games with billions numbers pleeeease! They are garbo and get bored real fast.

I just saw the gameplay demo
From the demo gameplays i think you guys need more than 2-3 years to make things rights…
