Serious RESEARCH Question: Is this "woke"?

I'm doing research on people's attitudes and opinions. This is somewhat casual and informal (qualitative).

I'm not interested in your moralizing for or against wokeness. I'm not interested in a dissertation dissecting the woke or dismantling the patriarchy etc. I don't care. Just answer this question, please.

IN YOUR OPINION: Is this game woke? And if you don't mind sharing, why do you believe it is or isn't woke.

Just finished 3rd sector, and so far I don't think there is woke stuff in here. this game is focused on rebel war against cult. most of npcs are wearing helmets, so no race or skin color bullcrap. maybe there was one couple of woman lovers in npcs, but not that's not my problem if that doesn't affects story.

I don't think this game is very woke, and I will usually stop playing a game if woke nonsense is shoved in my face, I have a pretty low tolerance for it. The female protagonist is fine, 55% of the population is female, as well as many pilots in real life.

That really has NOTHING to do with something being woke, plenty of games have female characters and no one cares - not even those of us who hate the woke/pc garbage. What matters is if that female character actually *FITS* into the storyline and wasn't shoehorned in due to a companies political or personal beliefs, like what we have seen with other games that have been a complete failure.

In this case, the character makes sense, but what also helps is that the character isn't pushing any kind of an ideology or point of view that makes zero sense to the overall story line.

Either way, given what I have seen so far, this game isn't woke. Plus someone already did a dive into the game itself earlier after it's release to see if the devs had done anything malicious like that, and they didn't find anything.

There are a lot of very deserving criticisms of the game, but not the argument that "I'm terrified of playing a game if it has a female pilot because that could be deeply upsetting to me." Grow up, buttercup!
