Thrust and rolls are analog components for HOTAS users and binary (off/on) components for keyboard users. IMO, M/K responds are way quicker and more precise. Boost and drift remains as binary components across all control devices but they both can be set to either toggle or momentary.
+1
Being able to use your flight sticks roll to your hearts content makes it more immersive, using a xbox controller etc with out being able to roll on the fly detracts from the games beautiful visuals, feels rather dumbed down with out that ability.
I wish, but never managed to do it. I tried keyboard/mouse, gamepad and on the ps4. No manual roll. This youtube short video shows it is possible on a joystick.
