Mana Khemia?
Are these games similar to Mana Khemia? Used to love that game!

I went from Mana Khemia to Rorona when it first came out on PS3, and I was disappointed because of how dumbed down so many mechanics were with the combat, exploration, everything really. Escha & Logy in particular was the first game where I felt they finally brought it back to that excellent quality. The Dusk Series is brilliant and exactly what you're looking for if you loved Mana Khemia.

I should add they even let you use the music from Mana Khemia to replace any BGM you want like the Workshop music, the battle music, bosses, world map etc.
