I believe that at least one of the Arland steam releases besides Lulua supported 4k but judging by the horribly aliased screenshots it looks like none of these do despite originally being released later. Well, either modders will fix it or I'll just go without I guess.
Considering you can emulate plenty of ps2 games even at any resolution you please, and considering the price point, I expect them to support arbitrary resolutions.
You can buy HD remasters of older games where they actually redid the textures etc (i.e. they actually did work porting them) and still pay less than for these.
Don't get upset though, I just won't buy them. Plenty of people will and KT will continue to lazy port. I just like to vent a bit in the hope that one day something changes for the better.
This has nothing to do with it. Even the Shadows of the Empire port done in 1997 supports 4K today. Automatic arbitrary resolution support is trivial. It's easier to support it than to not.
Modder Durante through one of Koei Tecmo's foreign branches once tried to reach out to to KT Japan to show them how to tie their own shoelaces but the Japan branch refuses to communicate and insists on falling on their faces repeatedly.
go to your steam\V:\Atelier\Ayesha\settings.ini and just edit the first three lines say:
