How is this game compared to the original 18+ version?

I'm asking to people who already played & finished both version (prelude to the fallen), how is it storywise? any changes in the story at all?
I finally bought the bundles today thanks to steam sale since i loved the original anime that i watched many years ago!

there is no +18 stuff in any game, storywise the same, u read a lot and play "little" :D
but if u wanna play the game with the +18 scenes then u have to find the original version

The original game is a huge downgrade unless all you care about it is porn.

The following is spoilers for what the hentai scenes got replaced with:
- Eruruu gets a new CG of Hakuowlo holding her in bed and kissing her, followed by fade to black sex.
- Karulau gets a new CG of kneeling to Hakuowlo and then locks him in her room and has fade to black sex.
- Ulthury has a new CG of playing with some kids at an orphanage, and Hakuowlo shows up and lets her take charge of the orphanage.
- Camyu only sucks blood, gets a new CG for it.
- Touka has no idea what sex is and Karulau gives her a bad explanation, leading to her just pinning Hakuowlo down until he passes out, gets a new CG for it.
- Yuzuha didn't get a new CG, but her scene was good. Hakuowlo lifts her up, kisses her, grabs her hips, and then it just shows the stars before fading to black. I guess it was to reference an earlier scene where she says she wants to become a star. If you use the new soundtrack in this scene, Koi Yume starts playing.

Honestly, you aren't really missing out if you don't play the old game. Adding seggs scenes to your games in Japan was just the meta back then and this isn't really a nukige. You can play the new prelude to the fallen and then view the CG's of the old game online to get better context of the original version.

The changes are better CG's, better battle mechanics, no seggs.

If you're looking for good tactical gameplay, try a different game.
If you want a few lewd scenes, play the fansub of the original game.

This version of the game isn't particularly good. But it's not horrible either.

The anime I'd actually say does an amazing job of adapting. It's a long, long VN, and hard to put into a normal sized anime, but it managed to get the majority of the story apart.

As for the 18+ stuff, I hated it, honestly, in the original. It was weird. So with VNS I was used to "Routes".

Uta has no routes. You just bang every Female character introduced int the game. Awkwardly most of the time...and you kind of drunk rape Aruruw, which is portrayed afterwards as romantic despite her resisting you for most of it.

Besides that, there's only one that I felt was kind of beautiful and this game keeps it in as a FtB scene.

It's kinda sad that their games were originally like this. Tears to Tiara suffers the same fate. You bang every Female character in the game, inventing the most absurd reasons. Now in a lot of VN or games, this would be fine and expected, it's a H-Game afterall.

But Uta and Tears to Tiara are extremely character driven and plot driven games. It's explicitly setup that Hakuro is in love with Aruruw early on and most of the game, and she in love with him.

So him going around banging an entire harem, which in the original game she just says "Oh that's just how men are" and handwaves it away, is dumb, regardless of the society they live in. It kinda takes out the emotional impact of her being the "one" he chose to be in a relationship with, if he's also gonna go bang everyone else. Besides one character, none of them are excusable for a couple in love.

I'd love a Tears to Tiara remake in this vein with the hentai stuff removed. Which is weird, as I use 18+ in all my other VNS, but I always thought they felt awkward as hell in these games.

Now for the actual bad side of this port is the CGS are low quality, have banding, and are cropped to 16:9. You're losing detail.

As an example. I wish there was a patch, or a mod, to use the original CGS.

Your memory are quite bad, i would even dare to say that you were the one drunk when you watched the game, cose Hakuoro never even come close to lay a hand on Aruru.

As for Eruru, they are in love, and she don't regret it a single time, she was actualy just not sure about things because of all the things happening and the other girl.
There is nothing close to a rape, just an unsure girl that have her 1st time with the one she love...

Only Kamyu' scene came from nowhere.
Karura do it because she wan't to give herself to Hakuoro and save her country.
Yuzuha wan't to leave somethings behind because she know she will die soon.
Urutorī do it after she was devasted by giving back Fumirul.
Toka was tricked by Karura, and even this is easy to understand when you follow the story, because she is extremely naive and is tricked by Karura all the time for many different things.

The only rape in the entire harem are when the girls rape Hakuoro...

Because he had multiple wife don't mean there is no romance. All of them waited for him for 18 year after he was sealed...
So yeah the scenarist wasn't the best for anything close to romance. It's still is better when a MC that have a harem full of beatifull women, in love with him and him in love with them, have real relationship. That one that end up like all these shi tty shonen where the MC is in love with his harem but won't make a move on any of them...

Seriously, people have their head so deep in their own little morale that they can't even accept a story that use setting different that what they beleive is the only good way of life.

Realy... none one say anything close to "bruh it's obvious he ♥♥♥♥ everyone he's a dude LOL". He is an Emperor, a God, he united a entire island into a single country and lead the entire land to peacefull time... So yeah the girls that love him don't have any problem with him having miltiple wife... So what? how does this hurt the romance? how would the harem hurt the romance?

You say that it hurt the story, but these moment still happen in the remake they only hid some of them. So for your the story is bad, cose the story is one of hakuoro and his harem...
Spoiler, this also happened in the real world! Many men and women had and have harem... But hey who care?
