You literally just said "This game wasn't designed to have progression" but now say you are looking forward to progressing? Not to mention you also just repeated what i said even though you denied that before. Me thinks you have zero clue on what you're talking about. You still haven't addressed anything i said and seem to be going out of your way to ignore it. No mate, sorry but you are wrong, proven by the facts.
Dude. I just don't see any point in arguing. I am going to enjoy the new system and you probably won't, what is the point of trying to change eachothers' minds when it is set in stone? Just move on with your day homie-
No there's a big difference. I provided you with facts as to why you were wrong and that's when you suddenly decided you didn't want to hear it anymore. You were perfectly fine arguing up to that point. Are you going to address anything i said or just cop out use excuses because you don't want to accept the facts?

Also for the record you are the one that started replying to me so saying you don't want to argue anymore is just that, a cop out.

The level scaling in ESO is most likely the base on what Fallout 76 is going to be doing their scaling on. In fact it is just because of the namesake. What is different about Fallout 76 is that there is a lot of variety in how enemy rankings work and on how dangerous an enemy can be, that isn't decided by their level. I said this, legendary effects, different rankings within enemies. If they tune this a little bit to make them just the tiniest bit stronger, there are still going to be super hard enemies to kill out in the open world.

When you talk about fighting Deathclaws, I agree. They should be hard to kill and they should be scary. That's exactly why I am excited for this update. Right now if you are high level and you run into a lower level Deathclaw you basically one-shot it, or at least kill it super quickly. With the scaling it is going to be scary to run into one ALL THE TIME. (hopefully.)

You caught me on the level scaling with the enemies, I thought all of the Bethesda games were scaled and that is my fault. Haven't played Fallout 3 since the 360 days because I can't get it to run on my PC. With Fallout 4, I genuinely thought that all the enemies scaled.

My point is that scaling can be done in a way that no matter what your level is, enemies that are supposed to be horrifying and hard to kill will always be hard to kill, and enemies that are supposed to be cannon fodder and are just there to fight in numbers won't 1 shot you and you do no damage to it.

See here is the thing. You are saying that they will use ESO for a base (which is exactly what i said too) Then you go on explaining how the system is supposed to work even though you yourself said we don't know how it will. The closest indicator we have is ESO and the level scaling you are describing is not how ESO's system works at all. Every enemy has a base level then is scaled to your level but it's not that great. So while technically they should be stronger in practice it's negligible.

There needs to be a good middle ground like they did in fallout 4. Enemies were scaled but depending on what they were they could be a much high higher level than the player and that would go a long way towards making it feel less like pandering.

Make no mistake i enjoy this game and still want to play it. I just don't think i would find the game very fun anymore if it turned out to be anything like ESO.

I don't want it to be bad either, I can't exactly talk in length about ESO because I haven't played the game all too much, but I want the scaling to be done right too. I'm saying that if they do it right, key word right, it will be a huge improvement for the game going forward. There is a big shift happening in the game right now from a Fallout MMO to a co-op Fallout game which is what a lot of people wanted.

It's something that will need a lot of work and planning but yes if they do it right it should make the game better. As long as they don't ruin the difficulty and there could still be high level areas with level scaling if done right.

I won't argue about item leveling though. Having a whole bunch of level 50 guns at level 20 isn't helping anyone lol.

We'll just have to see if they do good :steamhappy:
bahahaha, this game is 1000% trash, Bethesda is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ trashy dev, theyll die soon enough.
In my opinion, the game has too few hidden dungeons as it used to be in New Vegas. When you enter some mining town you expect to see a secret passage to some dungeon in the basement of the house, and each time you are disappointed when there is no hidden passage. In New Vegas, a system of branched hidden dungeons was made very interesting.
I hope in Fallout 76 something similar will be realized...

Hey because Obsidian Entertainment was developer and now it is Bethesda....so don't expect anything where money isn't involved.

"As mentioned above, you will be able to take part in our inaugural Summer Season for free as soon as it begins with Update 20." So after the first season you'll have to pay to unlock new seasons then?
Yep. It's been confirmed that after Summer, you'll have to pay for each season. So basically, it's a battle pass for a game you've already paid for...
