Complete guide to Gleaming Depths
PHASES: EN06, DRILL, GUARDS, GENETIC, AND TERROR

EN06
------------
EN06 is the gate keeper in both literal sense and gameplay
it is a sentry bot that is stuck in one place, with 1 hp bar and 1 shield bar
ATTACKS - lasers are its basic attack and will turn towards you to focus fire you, YOU CANNOT SURVIVE IT FOR MORE THAN 3 SECONDS.
Swarm missiles - a cluster of mini missiles will home at you
Plasma bubbles - bubbles will be shot out that act as explosives and explode after making contact
Mini assaultron lasers - mini turrets will spawn on the base of the turret platform, they have their own tracking and will do high damage for 1 second before turning away

ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECT OF EN06
--------------
after shield breaking the room will begin burning and you must run to one of 3 silo doors, IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE ROOM WHEN IT CLOSES YOU DIE, doors will burst open when effect is over and you must move out of the room

DRILL
------------
GOAL - FILL AND DEFEND
------------
Drill is the target of the moleminers and mole bombers, defend and destroy molebombers

FUELING - it is your job to find and bring back 1 can of fuel to the drill, you can only carry one
STALKERS - invulnerable and fast, these moleminers are the ghosts of the mines and will chase you around while you are searching for fuel. they will stick to the outside area where you will be searching for gas cans
EFFECT - taking longer will mean more attackers, you must finish fast
------------
GUARDS
------------
Three guards will spawn, BLOODHOUND, LYNX, AND VULTURE, they are invulnerable until you wreck three shield generators that are located at the sides and upper floor
GENERATOR REPAIRERS - eyebots will spawn that will ONLY focus on repairing the generators, they work FAST, so take them out fast
BLOODHOUND - melee king, chainsaw weapon that will shred your hp
LYNX - cryo bomber, has a grenade launcher that deals cryo
VULTURE - sniper
------------
GENETICS - HERDING THE ENEMY
------------
this phase is much different than the rest, there are destroyable crystals littered around the arena, you must herd the enemies into them damaging them with the crystals
STALKER - one stalker moleminer will appear, as well as several enemies chasing you, the stalker is like the previous versions and now you can kill it by using the crystals as bombs
CRYSTALS - they will spawn poison and slowing aoes, kite through them to avoid being swarmed
------------
TERROR
------------
the final boss, a massive snake that will show its head out from the ultracite lava but will disappear switching directions
ATTACKS
Bite - will lunge at the player, least concerning but will stun you
Acid spray - fires projectiles around that will HOME in on you, poisonous and will melt your hp
ACID - will be puddles around you and melt your hp
AIR BLAST - the terror will try and knock you into the lake of ultracite lava, JUMP TOWARDS IT TO AVOID BEING KNOCKED OFF

TAIL - its tail will occasionally appear, its weak but if you let it stay it will try and smash you into a pulp. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN

False

Patently False

EN06 - Troubleshooters PA = immunity to its damage just use a stimpack once every three times it fires at you... also you need more than 1 endurance... Bullet shield and ricochet also reduce 20% of your incoming damage reflecting it 40% of the time...

This isn't uber noob content its designed as end game stuff... I mean its pretty easy and completely broken by any end game player... but man noobs can easily and I mean EASILY tank this stuff

like not reading the rest once its clear you are so very very wrong

breaking down the basics will help the rest of the population of players, just because you have 100k hours doesnt mean everyone else has minmaxed farmed everything into minmaxed gear

I mean yeah if you've been playing for 10 minutes and this is your first fallout game, FPS or experience using a mouse and keyboard or controller sure some of that might hold true...

For the vast majority of the player base...

Troubleshooters is a 1* mod, it retails for 2000 caps worst case scenario
It takes 15 modules for someone to craft
They are incredibly common at player vendors and camps

It is utterly valueless...

LITERALLY any power armour set cobbled together at level 50 with troubleshooters is more than enough

The issue noobs have is they've been able to skate by without having any semblance of a build or competent strategy not paying attention to their health or anything else

Raids requires you to have some semblance (not much but some) of an understanding of the surface mechanics of the game

All you need is SOME endurance... not much but some...
Ricochet a 1 star perk
Bullet shield a 4 star perk
Dodgy a 3 star perk
Lifegiver helps a 2 star perk

So you have another 40 stars worth in perks to use for your build before even breaking into legendary cards
YOU LIE Dec 12, 2024 @ 12:31am
Stage 1: split your group in 2 (2 people on opposite side of each other), makes targeting his shield generator backpack easier
Stage 2: everyone has to gather fuel from the start, if you have nuka grenades occasional toss will help out greatly, the damage from moles before warning message(increased hostility) is negligible so please get a few cans first.
check your surroundings in the tunnel and ping ultracite mole miner if you can for others nearby
start with furthest fuel cans, leave easy pickings for the last.
Stage 3: Lynx has cryo grenades that drain all of your action points, priority target 2 after drones/generators
Stage 4: don't underestimate horde when you're lugging the ultracite mole miner along, they can stagger you in power armor in the most inopportune moments
jumping can sometimes lead to rubber banding and horde scampering for a new target
pathing for the horde is janky, rails/walls will often result in them getting stuck
ideally only one person should be doing the process until the ultracite miner is dead, rest of the team can chill on top of big vertical crystals.
Stage 5: target the snake's eyes, not the head, eliminate tail asap
general tip: share useful perks, team medic is mandatory and will save lives, power reboot legendary perk can revive you if you get punched by ultracite miners

So looks like it not really a complete Guide yet. Will we have a follow up later. I see allot of Nerfs coming on this Quest. When players get pretty good at it-they will throw in the Double Mutations.

This Raid is a nonsensical steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥.
Whoever designed it should be fired for incompetence

A full set of Troubleshooters gear, regardless of type (for fun I tried solo with Scout Armour), will help with the Guardian. It even reduces the explosive damage so much you don't need any other source of mitigation, though the Fireproof perk is still nice to have.

The issue though is you can survive with the occasional stim, you (general you, I'm sure there are players that can) can't do much damage. That is where ricochet and Power Armour comes in. This nonsensical combination increases reflect chance and damage.

Something that might be interesting to try is science perks. Sounds weird but it goes like this. The ricochet is an attack from you but not your weapons. The Guardian doing energy might get buffed by the science perks. I noticed this increased damage to Gutsys in a Daily Ops, going from 2 reflects to 1 to kill (though it was a healing mutation so that aura might have bugged out...).

Anyway... the cheese and cheat strategies are ramping up now regardless... for every stage...

I'll add this reply I've made in other post. hopefully this will help a bit too.

I have troubleshoter PA set for this (along with 3x hardy+2x fireproof 2 star mods)- jetpack is not necessary, it is good idea to fit medic pump in torso and keep health slightly above 50%. Luck 10 with bullet shield[4]+ricochet takes care of shield, one for the team gives nice dmg bonus (this allows me to solo this boss actually).
I suppose standing in pairs on opposite side of boss with this PA is best choice to drop shield quickly with 4 members equipped like this- just to ease targetting generator part if You want to speed up shield drain process. You do not have to fire often- once per 6secs to get bullet shield working, so any heavy weapon with vampire legendary able to fire on trigger would do plus gatling plasma or gauss minigun to deal dmg once shield is down.
Most of failures here are probably related to inability to locate proper shelter to avoid explosion. It helps to stay close to one of the shelters or at last to remember where are those which are still available.

Stage 2:
This one is tricky due to mechanics. One player has to stay near mining machine to protect it, other team members have to run around and collect fuel (those do not respawn but are in fixed places) while avoiding getting hit by mole miners- they do not teleport randomly, if one follows player to mining machinge chamber it simply dissapears (like rats) and appears on original position. Sometimes it is necessary to provide support to team member guarding machine, especially if collecting fuel takes too long. Definitely not soloable.

Stage 3:
It helps to lure bosses near generators, this way You can damage them when shields are down and focus on shield generators when they got up after drone repairs (kill drones too).
I do not think it is possible to solo this since one of the bosses uses mod that drains target APs.

Stage 4:
It helps to have union PA with jetpack here. Kill mole rat miner asap, then stick together and lure as many monsters as possible near single crystals. Quite easy to solo.

Stage 5:
This is quite easy. You can simply jump and fire to avoid getting pushed back by serpent. When poison damage occurs just use stimpak[s] (I'm usually using stimpak+super stimpack at the same time) and move a bit forward (so make sure to have some clear ground ahead). Kill emerging tails asap. Consume psychotats etc and final stage when serpent is preparing last breath attack (if it manages to do it it means team wipe). It is either very hard to solo or impossible due to necessity of dealing high dps at final stage to avoid lethal breath attack.

Things that help:

Learn to use sprint (even in PA) when running until it becomes a habit. It will help in reaching proper shelter in time, avoid getting hit by mole miners, keep distance from monster crowds when luring them around. The only time I do not use sprint is when I want to avoid poison on the ground at final raid stage.

Pure mele builds are usually no-go, except stage 2. It can also be used to handle bosses in stage 3 but only in hybrid build (AntiArmor+Incisor to get through armor). One of the bosses will drain AP so auto mele weapons are useless in this case. It also looks like generators can be damaged with ranged weapon only (possibly energy type).

First Aid+Team Medic[3]+Field Surgeon[2]- if You stick together with this every stimpak used works fast, with stronger effect not to mention it heals every team member nearby.

Tenderizer[3]- to raise whole team damage (I'm not sure if this stacks for every team members hitting the same monster, there was also a bug related to this).

Squad Maneuvers[2]- for Power Armor users mainly, it doesn't do much to non-PA users with speed demon mutation.

Jetpack on armor/PA, for avoiding getting hit in mele- for example when luring mole miner in stage 2 or 4 to avoid being one-hit-killed.

Blocker[3] in stage 3 and 4

Born Survivor[2], sometimes in the heat of combat You can forget about health bar- this helps to stay alive if this happens.

Final hint:
It is possible to solo only 1st boss and then reset raid (Data->Reject Quest, it will reset raid progress). 1st stage has lowest 4-star drop chance but since it is soloable quite easily it can be used to farm 4star mods- it will take longer than in decent team but sometimes it is hard to find experienced raid members. I have also seen someone dealing with this boss with autoaxe but it requires proper use of spare power armor frames.

Second stage biggest mistake is people guarding the mother lode. The longer it take to filling it the more mole miners appear.

When someone else is guarding it I'm usually moving to get fuel. It is enough to target kamikaze rats and only those mole miners which target the machine. If it takes too long (which happens very often) it is good idea to help kill some mole rats and get back to fetch more fuel. It is also possible to sprint through mole miner if you time it right but it requires practice and even with that You can get killed due to sync issues.

just in case anyone is looking to speed run the enclave squad:

Get a quad gamma gun with 2* rapid; mods: deep dish (pizza and more rads) and signal repeater (fully auto).

Grab yourself tank killer and +50%+ automatic (guerrilla perks) pistol damage and nerd rage. Throw in life giver so you can withstand a bit of damage at low HP.

Irradiate to nerd rage (scales adrenal too; more rad damage) and nuke all 3 as soon as they can be damaged. With just me and a buddy we cleared it without any gens repairing. We use holy fires to kill the genies from a fair range easily at the start and i used endangerol (dont know if this works, but it's a habbit of mine to use it anyway).

Easiest trophy by far!
