its borders on impossible for a player to have more than 100 of any single popular bobblehead in their vendor at less than 1,000 caps each without having exploited, or obtained them from someone who did exploit
they also have glitches where they were able to blueprint literally anything and then just go to a workshop and for like 1 cloth print it all out... I've seen them do tens of thousands of presents, I've heard of them printing full sets of non tradable 3* perfect roll armour and weapons
bobbleheads isn't a stretch to be duped
They don’t keep them hidden. They post videos.
Some of these old timers habitually do it. For hours on end. Like an old cassette player.
It's so, so very creepy.
When the ammo container for the Artillery existed people dumped their entire inventory into it and duped everything. The did it over and over. Bethesda fixed the artillery and removed the ammo container.
Then came the first collection container, same thing all over again.
Server stability was increased when they cut down events to only one active event at a time. Yet duping still happened.
Then a few years ago Bethesda put a hard limit on carry limit weight, still did not stop duping.
Then there was the one they did at a vendor.
This was why 99% of most legacy weapons were dupes. Yet people insisted they were "legit."
Aside from Leadership, Intelligence, and Weapon they really do not offer enough to make them worth the hassle unless you are using Curator perk.
Magazines are even worse, because the bonuses are so varying nobody can remember which does what.
I figure these things give a premium buff for 2-3 hours so they should be 100caps per hour.
Why? Because it's a buff that will stack on top of other things.
Here is an example for you, the Repair bobblehead that reduces power core usage, nobody buys them, but they will spend like 100 caps per core
Repair is ass and I've got 4 of them that won't even sell for 50c each. Sneak and Lockpick are other duds. The things I charge up for are primary stats and damage/crit buffs.
