How does a wooden fort fair in black gunpowder warfare?
Like Prickett's Fort, wouldn't it be easily penetrated or leveled by fire arms?

There's a reason the forts are made of logs not planks. With acres of timber cleared away, any advancing forces would have yards and yards of land to cross before reaching the walls. With that distance, having a flaming torch NOT be seen by any of the guards on duty along the walls would be nearly impossible.

Frontier america was NOT the place you'd see catapults, canons, or flaming balls of oil-soaked bundles could be launched with any accuracy so log forts were quick to build and safe to inhabit up until the civil war.

Locally, and in time, stone was quarried and heavier fortifications were built. Fired bricks soon followed, and battlements increased in height, width, and thickness. Forts were often built along trade routes, protecting more than just an area. Ticonderoga, Stanwix, Niagara, Erie, Detroit, Makinac, et al.

Read up on it in game. Pricketts Fort is unabashedly not historic.

And there were many wooden forts in the age of black powder weapons.

Alcohol. The answer is always alcohol.
They used to have the North against the South up there when we started-things got out of hand.

“Here’s to alcohol: the cause of, and solution to, all of life’s problems.”
