Best way to kill trogs & trog boss?

Hi, sometimes I try to solo "Union Dues" without having NPCs die to trogs, but I can't kill them fast enough. So, which is the best way, and/or build, to kill them?

If there is a way to do it without changing my current build, I would like to know about it too (I have sort of a tank build, almost immortal - so to speak - and I would like to keep it that way).

I've soloed Union Dues to 100% with vampire's chainsaw, two shot auto-grenade launchers, quad railway rifles and vampire's & bloodied gauss shotguns. Have low health stealthy vats builds.
EDIT. Also vampire's flamers.

you could grab a weapon with flame and the charisma perk card for healing with flame dmg to heal them up before they die without changing your build much.

if you want advice on how to improve the dmg on your build without really changing it, you're gonna need to tell us what your build is though.

I can solo AtF, and TE. UD takes too much dps for me to get. I haven’t tried MSG solo yet.

I use a Vampire's Flamer, but I will try it with a Vampire's Auto Axe soon... Or should I do it with a chainsaw in this case?

I would avoid bloodied modifications since low health is not compatible with my current build.

Ashes is the only one I can't solo to 100%, not because it's hard but because I get encumbered in stealth suit & PA and can't get to survivors in time.
Union Dues isn't that hard tbh, if the soldiers go down and you just kill the trog boss while they still are revivable it counts as 100%. Try TS AGL (for example Nuka-Launcher) or some good flamer like Holy Fire, or plasma flamer if you run Commando and I'm sure you'll get enough DPS. Quad RR is naturally silly good against trog boss if you have one, even 1-star will do.

True, but what the Nuka Grenades do that no other method does is kill the ones that get past you and into the buildings.

Yep, you need DPS and in the "den", you must kill the trog spawns as they appear. Don't let any trogs go up the stairs. Don't stay in one place, always move (around the "T" road) to search the trog spawns.

Once the "Devourer" appears (keep an eye for him), rush to him and put him down as fast as you can.

Maybe a good practice, before entering the "den", to wait a little for possible trogs you have drag to the "den". Best time to check your build and to take some buffs before going further.
