how to farm food in public workshops ?
in the description of public workshops is written: Food (6), Water (8) or Food (7), Water (3) and e.t.c.

But.. how to farm this (6) (7) ... food ?

That to collect aluminum, junk, silver, I found the construction of extractors of these resources

but I didn't find any food extractors.

Tell a newbie how to collect food in the workshops.

to build floors with soil and plant it yourself? )))) or in another way?

But if I'll build and sow farm cells, then what is the meaning of the number (6) (7) (8)? How much will my farm produce?

And the second question, if the workshop says (8) water, will water accumulate above 2 in my water purifiers? Or is it still a maximum of 2? (in the c.a.m.p. my purifiers always have a maximum of 2 water, is it the same in public workshops?)

The difference between workshop production and camp production is serial vs parallel.

A camp produces in serial, meaning it creates one at a time.
A workshop produces in parallel meaning all production items produce at the same time.

For example:
My camp has 3 small water purifiers with max storage of 2 each, meaning it will make 6 water, but one at a time (which is 1 every 5 minutes?) which takes thirty minutes to produce the 6 water.
A workshop with the same three purifiers would create 1 water in each, and fill up in 10 minutes producing the 6 water.

The same applies to crops, if you notice in your camp if you place 3 razorgrain they grow back one at a time. However in a workshop they would each grow back at the same time.
I would take over a workshop, plant 20 mutfriut, throw turbofert, pick, plant more and repeat untill I had 200 plants-then repeat with corn then tato's. But to cook all that you needed 1000 wood for the water then 1000 Purified water to make adhisive (sp). So I just made my own food farms, only one left is a tato farm I keep for low levels. Stopped doing it at workshops because players will be players and started to try and kill me all the time.
Lol, an unsuspecting target in a PVP zone, Yeah, I'm sure that went well for ya... lol
Yeah if you really want to do this can suggest a private server (fallout 1st)
That's where I moved to as soon as they started them. Each of my players all had a Tato farm with 200 plants. Pick everyday for turn in. 1 tato = 2 caps. Only had to pick about 600 to 700 a day. Killed 2 key boards in 6 months. Bought a keyboard repair kit and kept going. Had 2 accounts and 10 players, picked around 2800 a day. about 1 hour a day and 1 bottle of visine .Don't have to do that anymore .

just raid someones popcorn machine they got an infinite amount
is the popcorn proper worth building? I never tried it, I still stick to the colas and dog food.

It counts as pre-war food and candy for the score board challenges, and barely weights anything either, so yeh if you can slap one down, same with those nuka cola candy dispensers you can also build, they both count as pre-war food and candy as well, and they do not take power so are better, though the amount of food they give is pretty meh, but as they are candy rather than food that does make sense.
