Gourd bug when planting??

After press E for my CAMP and going to food. I am able to plant all food except gourd which has a "Lock" icon on it and it says I need a set of plans to be able to plant this. I haven't been able to google anything on this. Anyone else have this or know what I need to do, is this a bug I assume??? I am trying to do the possum badges.
Also on another note one of them ask me to build a fireplace and a tent, do I need plans for them also?? Thanks guys and happy gaming!!!

For gourds, probably you haven't collected them yet, it's not pumpkin, by the way ... .

And yes, you need plans for those ... .

I found mine in Raleigh Clay's Bunker but there are a few other places you can find them.

You can also earn possum badges by completing the daily quests "Operation Tidy" and "Stings and Things." Both have a 25% chance of dropping a possum badge -- much easier and faster to do than some of the pioneer scout challenges.

Thanks for the input guys. Just FYI I collected gourds from another location and was able to plant them......so may be just a strange bug??? Didn't know about the missions that sounds like I good idea because yes...the challenges do take a long while!!1
