Why do people kick me out of the public party when I join their invite?

Am I doing something wrong? I'm level 50, I've played entirely solo thus far. I join group invites for the free intellect bonus but usually I get kicked after like 4 minutes, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. They don't initiate an objective or anything, everyone is usually doing their own thing.

There's a bug that kicks players out of teams. To the other guys it looks like you left.

I've kicked a few that joined a Daily Op team but didn't actually enter the Op in a timely manner, so annoying.

Yeah I've done that too, but OP said it was just casual groups and they weren't doing anything in particular.

And maybe it's just my paranoia, but I think some people look at the time when you start a daily ops group and join about 6 minutes later when most solo players are almost finished. Might be coincidence, but it happened often enough that it stood out.

If I log in and I see a DO or an Expedition team, I will habitually join them. It's not that I wait to join a team ... .

i had a situation, where i fast traveled to a friend and then suddenly the game threw me into main menu and the complete party was disbanded, as my friend told me. i was party leader.

My guess would be it's the old bug, sometimes game even says that leader has removed you from the team when they haven't.

But just in case you actually have been getting kicked out check what perks you are sharing. For example if the team leader is running low health build and you share a perk that removes rads you will most likely get kicked out.

Myself, I've seen to many "bad apples" that spoil it for others.

bad apples may include:
-joining to generally mooch and not play game
-pvping noobs and trolling workshops/players
-being a mic nuisance
-cheating/abusing exploits

All this equates for me... play solo or with people you know.
(thats why I kick anyways sorry/not sorry)

i've only had 1 person do this. He ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at me on the mic about joining his private party when it was open to the public and he kicked me. So 1 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, every one else, no real probs tbh.

You meet many players using microphone? I rarely see them, I do have a headset but I almost never use it. I'd much rather type but noooo that's not allowed.

No don't have too many mic peeps out there, and grateful for the ones that do use it normally. I just mean the select few who think we all want to know what they are eating by way of sound or the others who think we all like the same tunes.

But I 100% agree to PLEASE add text chat. My ears are really bad and I'm sure others may have some hearing issues. (worse than mine)

For me it's my pronunciation. I understand and write English perfectly fine, but actually speaking it is another story. It is so bad, people think I'm German.

There are several possibilities:

1). Team Bug- If one person in the team loses connection to the server it can cause another player to be kicked by the server. It says “kicked by the leader”, but that is most likely not the case. It has happened with teams of friends I am on and we’re chatting on discord and suddenly the team is screwed up.

2). You joined an Expo or DO team and then didn’t join your teammates at the location . Hang a round too long and the leader can decide to kick you so you don’t get rewards for something you didn’t do.

3). It’s possible you got kicked because they wanted to add another friend to their team. If I am the leader and there is one rando, I may kick them so a friend can join. Otherwise we may just create a new team. Our go to is a role play team. We form that and then all join it, and then change to what we want. So if a rando joins that team, they will most assuredly be bounced.

Please note, the majority of the time, it’s not the leader being a jerk and doing anything personal towards you.
